Optimists aren't always happy, but they always think they might be soon

"I found this saying in a magazine. I know the standard saying about the glass half empty or full and I used to say, I'll drink to that. However, I think this saying shows that there is always something positive and good out there, you may just not know it yet. You don't have to be happy all the time to be a satisfied, pleasant person. When something rotten happens, know that it won't be rotten forever there is always tomorrow to be happy again. There is nothing wrong with being sad for a while."

Don't wait for the storm to pass -- learn to dance in the rain

"I think it's a wonderful way to live from day to day. Instead of being down about your situation and waiting for things to get better to be happy and enjoy life, know that God is in control and will take of today and tomorrow. So don't worry, dance and celebrate every day you have."

It's not the weight of the load that brings you down -- it's how you carry it

"I read this years ago while I was struggling as a single parent. Then and now, it helps me to redirect my thinking when I feel that the load is getting too heavy to bear."
