"My father told me that often when I was growing up. We did not have a lot of money but we had each other and some of my favorite childhood memories are of my parents, my brother and me sitting in the living room after dinner and telling stories and laughing. I wouldn't have traded those moments for the biggest, shiniest toy in the world. To this day, I measure myself with those words because without a happy home and the love of your family, no material possession is worthwhile."

Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves for we shall never cease to be amused.
"It helps me get some perspective back when I start taking myself too seriously or when I've messed up and am being really hard on myself.
I found this saying at -- of all places -- a garage sale. There was an Asian-style water color of a cat with this saying in calligraphy along side it. It hangs over my desk."
