A friend who, I assumed, just had a knack for matching every single outfit with a different fabulous handbag turned me onto Etsy.com, a virtual craft fair where independent artisans hawk their reasonably priced rarities. My stylish friend let the cat out the bag, so to speak, by directing me to the part of the site where she sells ingenious handmade bags made out of vintage scarves for as little as $10. (Sala Bags).
After perusing her site, I clicked around Etsy.com some more and discovered tons of cool merchandise that, in some cases, were cheaper than my daily latte!
Not only was I inspired to shop, but I was also excited to let my own creative juices flow so that I could (hopefully!) make and sell some things, earn a little extra money and ... shop some more!
My husband and I LOVE cartoons. Happy Feet? We saw it twice! Ratatouille? Hilarious. Charlotte's Web? A classic. I guess you could say we're like big kids in adult bodies when it comes to our beloved cartoons.
It's during the summer when we both wish we really were kids again! Aside from the whole sleeping in aspect of a kid's carefree summer vacation, there are a ton of movie theaters across the country now offering FREE (or $1) flicks for families WITH KIDS throughout the summer months.
Hmmm...anyone want to adopt a couple of REALLY BIG kids for, ohhh, let's just say...90 minutes? We'll buy our own popcorn...
