I love buying fresh bread, but it goes stale so fast. How can I get another meal out of it?
Fresh bread has a short life span, but you can extend it a day or two with proper storage. A loaf of crusty bread should be kept in the paper bag you purchased it in (this lets it breathe). Soft bread and rolls are better kept in a tightly sealed plastic bag. And remember, never refrigerate fresh bread: It causes the bread to dry out.
