My white rice is always gluey. What am I doing wrong?
The trick to making perfect rice is to prevent the water under the pots lid from dripping onto the cooked grains, which causes them to stick together. Try this: As soon as the water has boiled off, take the pot off the burner, then place a clean dishcloth over the top. Cover with a snug lid. The cloth will absorb any condensation drops before they land on the cooked rice, and youll have perfect, fluffy rice.
