I love using orange segments to jazz up salads, but peeling the fruit is a hassle. Is there a way to speed up this chore?

There sure is: Simply boil enough water to submerge the fruit, then place the oranges in the water and turn off the heat. Let them soak for up to five minutes while you prepare the rest of the salad. Then remove the oranges and peel as usual; the softened rind should come off easily for a beautiful presentation!
