Kathy lost weight by using walking guru Leslie Sansone's at-home DVDs -- and you can, too. "It's never too late to begin a healthier lifestyle," says Leslie. "God designed your body for motion. And the more you move, the more you'll find you want to!" Here, some of Leslie's favorite tricks:
Remember your body is capable of change. "You are never 'stuck' in one condition. You're not 'doomed' to be out of shape, no matter how big you are. A positive mind-set is the first step to fixing things."
Take five. To avoid getting overwhelmed, start small. "Just five minutes of brisk walking is enough to begin bringing your blood pressure down -- and soon you'll want to add more."
Forget "no pain, no gain." "Workouts should feel invigorating, not draining! If you're doing an exercise routine that hurts, stop -- it's likely the wrong activity for you."
Keep walking shoes in your car or at the office. "So whenever you have 10 spare minutes, you can burn 100 calories!"
