How Star Jones Stays Trim
Four years after gastric bypass surgery, Star has managed to keep off a whopping 150 lbs.! Its a struggle every day and its a lifestyle change, she confesses. Here, her three favorite stay-slim tips:
She relies on this tried-and-true trick when eating out: I always cut the food that I order in half and have the other portion packed up immediately after its cooked to take home later.
She watches what she eats at night. I prefer a high-protein diet with the heavier carbs early in the day
and not after 8 p.m.
She varies her workouts so she doesnt get bored. Im still not in love with working out, but I know that its necessary, says Star. She plays tennis, does Pilates and hits the pavement to get moving: Ive learned that good, old-fashioned walking, instead of driving certain places, can be so beneficial to staying healthy and fit. Taking my dog [Pinkie, a Maltese] for a walk is also great exercise.
