If you're a pasta-lovers like Victoria, you can stay on your diet without abandoning your carb-heavy faves. Here's how:
When making spaghetti, put only a fistful (per person) in the pot. Add steamed veggies and a small amount of chicken to fill you up.
Try cooking with whole wheat pasta: It has more fiber than white pasta and tastes surprisingly good.
When eating out, ask to have your chicken or veggies grilled or baked rather than breaded or fried. If you get something that has been breaded, simply scrape off the coating.
Beware heavy restaurant dishes like stuffed shells, manicotti or lasagna. Instead, pick a light pasta primavera.
Dont double up on carbs: Bread is fine with grilled chicken or fish, but skip the baguette with pasta.
