I found this fur clip in an antique mall. It has a tiny A on the back. This, along with the design and use of baguette rhinestones on the fin, suggests to me it was made by Marcel Boucher. Can you confirm this? Whats it worth?

Your fur clip dates from the late 1940s or early 50s, a golden age for rhinestone jewelry. The bubbling fish theme was used by many manufacturers in the decade following World War II. After checking listings in over a dozen costume and rhinestone jewelry books, I was unable to identify the maker. Still, I doubt your piece was made by Boucher; most of his work is signed and has an inventory number and its never marked with an A. Without a second example of the clip or the same design on a manufacturers sales card, its nearly impossible to identify the manufacturer. Attribution is more often based on speculation than many collectors admit! Your clip is probably worth around $75.
