The home bar came into vogue following World War II, and many popular cocktails called for crushed ice, so devices like Rival’s Ice-O-Mat were introduced. Turquoise, copper and chrome were popular colors in the late 1950s and early 1960s. These ice crushers are common in the marketplace today; in usable condition, they sell for between $10 and $15.
