During winter months, my plants dry out so quickly. What's the best way to keep them hydrated?
One option is to put an inch or so of drainage material, like pebbles, in the saucer under the pot. This lets you add extra water to the saucer, which will evaporate during the week without causing root rot. Another trick is purchase moss at your local garden center and put it on top of the plant's soil. Wet the moss, but not the soil, every other day. Both techniques tend to work better than misting with a spray bottle because the moisture won't evaporate as quickly. Grouping your plants together will also help them stay nice and moist.
