Always Doing Laundry?
Follow these steps to cut down on your number of wash loads per week
- Towels are a bulky laundry item. To stretch the time between washings, hang towels fully open so that they dry completely, and leave the bathroom door ajar to allow humidity to escape.
- Train your children not to throw every piece of clothing into the hamper after it has been worn once. Jeans and outerwear such as sweatshirts and sweaters can be worn repeatedly (unless there has been a run-in with a mud puddle).
- Wear T-shirts or undershirts under blouses, shirts and dresses that require hand washing (or dry cleaning). This way, you can wear an item a couple of times before it needs to be cleaned again.
- Dont wash a garment if youve put it on for only a few hours to go out
to dinner or an afternoon meeting. Hang the garment to air it out and then
put it away.
