Keep a small bottle of hairspray on hand, and the next time a ballpoint pen leaks onto your outfit, lightly spray the spot with the hairspray, suggests Jerry Feriancek, owner of Anderson Cleaners in Brainerd, Minn. Then launder normally. But remember to test the hair-spray on a discreet spot first, Feriancek warns, because “it could cause color loss in very delicate fabrics like silk.”
