Soap residue shows up more on black items, causing them to look dull. To remove it, add a cup of vinegar to your washer’s rinse cycle. If that doesn’t help, try dyeing your togs with black fabric dye, following the instructions on the package. In the future, preserve that deep color by washing clothes inside out in cold water and then hanging them to dry (not in the sun, though).
