Ironing leaves flaky white mineral deposits on my clothes. How to banish the bits?
Remove the stain by lightly rubbing the fabric with distilled white vinegar, then rinse. Prevent future spots by cleaning your iron. Fill the water reservoir with 1/3 cup each of white vinegar and water. Switch on the steam setting and let the solution work its magic for 5 to 10 minutes, refilling the chamber with clean water and repeating. Finally, rinse the reservoir with cold water.
