Surface Scour: Kosher salt and a dose of elbow grease makes an all-natural scouring powder. Sprinkle sinks and cast iron pans with kosher salt, and scrub with a wet cloth or sponge.
Rust Remover: Take rust off hard surfaces by rubbing the area with half a lemon dipped in salt. If stain is stubborn, persevere it will come out with a little effort.

Sinus Clearer: To relieve stuffed sinuses, mix 1/2 tsp. of salt (use kosher or canning salt, as the additives in table salt can irritate sinuses) with 2 cups warm water. Draw as much solution as possible into a bulb syringe. Bend over the sink, gently inserting the tip of the syringe into your nose, and slowly squeeze the bulb so that liquid gently squirts into your nose. Let solution drain from the nostril. Perform twice on each side.
