And don't forget club stores
Sure, stores like Costco and Sam's Club charge a membership fee of $40 and up to join, "but you can save hundreds or even thousands on housewares, bedding, furniture and more, not to mention everyday goods like groceries and prescriptions," says Yusa.
Sam's Club has a must-see electronics department stocked with bargain-priced hot tech items, like a Garmin GPS for less than $225 (a basic model retails for $340). You can also find five-piece dining sets, with hardwood and cherry veneers, for under $700. Costco is great for big-ticket seasonal items.
"Look for patio sets for half of what youd pay elsewhere," says Farrell, and check regularly for in-house "road shows" featuring well-priced rugs.
